Telehealth Outpatient Care for Substance Use Disorders and Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions
California-licensed physicians and therapists, by secure video, anywhere in California.
WestStar Telehealth Network, P.C. is a telehealth medical group for adults working through substance use disorders and the mental health conditions that so often come with it. Care is built around each patient — from the first evaluation for as long as it helps — and delivered entirely by secure, HIPAA-compliant video.
We bill PPO and POS plans as an out-of-network provider, or you can pay privately. If your plan has out-of-network benefits, we check them before care begins. Either way, you receive a written estimate first.

-
Individualized outpatient care from a multidisciplinary team of licensed clinicians. Each patient's clinicians decide how often they are seen, based on what they need — which can mean several appointments a week early on, and fewer as they get stronger.
-
One-on-one sessions with a California-licensed therapist (LCSW or LMFT), focused on recovery, coping skills and underlying mental health — with the same therapist throughout.
-
Small therapy groups led by licensed clinicians, covering relapse prevention, coping skills and the challenges of early recovery. Patients join when their clinicians recommend it.
-
A comprehensive evaluation by a licensed prescribing clinician at the start of care. It looks at substance use and mental health together, and each patient's treatment plan is built from it.
-
Physician-led, including medication for addiction treatment such as buprenorphine and naltrexone, with prescriptions monitored and adjusted as needed.
-
Ordered by the treating physician and collected by observed oral-fluid swab during a scheduled video session, through an independent laboratory. Every result is reviewed by a clinician and documented in the patient's record.
Testing informs care rather than policing it. A positive result prompts a clinical conversation, not a penalty.

WHY WESTSTAR
WestStar was built to close the biggest gap in recovery — what happens after detox or residential treatment. We remove the drive, the scheduling conflicts and the waiting, and we keep patients connected to the same clinicians for as long as care helps.
No fixed end date. Care continues as long as it helps, without changing providers.
The same clinicians throughout. Not whoever is available that week.
Physician-led. Our Medical Director is board certified in internal medicine and addiction medicine.
We answer the phone. One named contact for every referral partner.
